looks like I just added 1 hour 5 minutes to my spin session routine. Thank you very much!

@lettisnet You’re right: drafting is not legal in Ironman racing. However, it is legal to ride in a non-drafting group; and there are strengths in doing that. Instead of holding back to save energy for the run, a group can more confidently gamble on riding faster. This tactic worked perfectly, as Alexander could not keep the pace on the bike, and he was never able to catch the leaders on the run. Macca, who orchestrated the attack, is a crafty racer and a student of the sport.

IMPRESIONANTE, esto es la superación humana.

  4. lettisnet says:

Can anyone explain, why the ‘teamwork’ they mention around 0:25:00 was so important to beat Craig Alexander? As far as I know, riding in someone’s shadow is forbidden in an Ironman triathlon. Was it just for holding the pace? Psychological? Both?

  26. AutoandTechNews says:

@145rupert Yeah people need to not say Ford copied Aston. That’s definitely not the case here.

  27. AutoandTechNews says:

    @bigvirgotube yep it looks great!

  28. 145rupert says:

Its a beautiful car. Some of the Ford haters (my first car was a Ford and my second and third were Honda’s but I am open minded) out there keep calling it a Aston Martin copy cat. Yeah there is some resemblance but any of you that have been around for awhile should remember what the front end of a 1967 Ford Thunder Bird looked like before you accuse Ford of not being able to create innovative style on its own. Check it out. Smile.

  29. marcellobar says:

Im not against ford actually 2 friends of mine bought one different years abd. Ever had problens. I always had bmw in my life but bimer cycle iscoming to a end. Still have an x5 v8 but it keeps breaking down and i cant dp nothing .. This fusion reminds me of the xf premium jaguar … Lol !

  30. nunojr07 says:

Moro no Brazil e tenho um FUSION 2010… I liked very much the new model and I`ll wait for it next year…

  31. bigvirgotube says:

Ford utilized their time when they owned Aston Martin–this Fusion is pretty hot looking. But I won’t be buying anything new any time soon–got a Mazda 5 to pay for.

  32. The1Skinsfan says:

@Jmaltz9 Only the front end looks like an Aston Martin, the rest looks like a cross between the focus and the Taurus, and yeah Ford owned Aston Martin.

  33. AutoandTechNews says:

@Jmaltz9 Eh while it does have some Aston Martin styling cues (remember Ford owned Aston Martin up until recently), the car doesn’t look like an Aston Martin by any means.

  34. Jmaltz9 says:

Lol ford cant come up with their own design so they go copy aston martin

  35. AutoandTechNews says:

@checkthisoutman1000 Haha yeah the front end does have some Aston Martin styling cues. Looks good in my opinion!

  36. checkthisoutman1000 says:

What is this? The new Aston Martin?

  37. AutoandTechNews says:

@madmax0251 Yeah the current fusion is a great car and now with the new one it’s really exceptional.

  38. madmax0251 says:

    Great job ford!
I own a 2011 base fusion with the Sync/moonroof as the only added options.
I love the car and was amazed by the features and price then. Now ford has really got it. I’ll never go back to Chevy or foreign market.

  39. AutoandTechNews says:

@DarthNefatious how does it look cheap? And what do you mean inferior Chevy Volt like internals?

  40. AutoandTechNews says:

@SNLGUY I highly doubt it. I’m 6’3″ and fit fine in my parents’ 2010 fusion, even in three back seat. I’m sure you’d be fine in the new model.

  41. SNLGUY says:

Will this be a cramped car for someone 6 ft 3 in tall and 240 lbs ?

  42. insidertrading1 says:

Thanks to Ford Europe’s Mondeo specs & nothing like the last Fusion out of Detroit… The ENERGI and Titanium with all the tech goodies will probably be priced out of reach though…. BTW what video; the pic slideshow with audio? LMAO

  43. DarthNefatious says:

Look’s like a CHEAP knock of off the Tesla Model S. With inferior Chevy Volt like internals.

  44. AutoandTechNews says:

    @CrayKray haha well thank youuuu

  45. CrayKray says:

    your voice is so sexy!

  46. AutoandTechNews says:

@gr8phuk That is the miles per gallon the car gets when the gasoline engine starts, but the Volt can operate on just battery power for 25-50 miles depending on different factors. That’s why its called MPGe, miles per gallon equivalent. Thanks for your question!

  47. gr8phuk says:

If I’m not mistaken, the Chevy Volt gets 40 MPGe and not “8 more” than this car, since this car is from what you’ve stated, “100 MPGe for the plug in hybrid.”

Please correct me if I’m incorrect. Thanks!

  48. AutoandTechNews says:

@TaurusSHO97 haha yep! i definitely like the looks of this a lot more than the prius, and the hybrid gets fairly close gas mileage

  49. TaurusSHO97 says:

Now the clowns who buy the Prius have no excuse to buy that ugly thing over the Fusion.
